Belbin Team Role profiling for team performance

Do you feel that you’re not fully using your natural talents at work? Do you ever get frustrated as part of a "team" that doesn't really function well as a team? Is team spirit sometimes jeopardized by difficult relationships with colleagues?

If yes…then join us for this fun, interactive workshop to learn how the Belbin Team Roles approach can help you to develop your self-management skills, understand the unique contribution you can make within a team and build productive working relationships.

What will I gain from the workshop?

Before the workshop, we will ask you to complete an online self-assessment questionnaire (approx. 20 min).  We will also ask you if possible* to get at least four of your work colleagues to complete a short questionnaire about you (10 min). These questionnaires will enable us to generate an individual Belbin Team Role report on your Team Role preferences and their implications.  Please note that your answers and those of your colleagues are treated in strict confidence.

During the workshop we will mix short presentations, group discussions, team-based practical activities, individual feedback and self-reflection to help you to:

  • Understand the theory and practical applications of the Belbin approach in managing yourself in a group and managing your career.
  • Increase your awareness of your own strengths in terms of your preferred behaviours and unique contribution to a team (and compare your self-evaluation with colleagues’ views of you).
  • Use this awareness to boost your own effectiveness by identifying ways to exploit your natural talents and manage your weaknesses.
  • Recognize Team Role preferences in others and use this knowledge to build productive relationships with your work colleagues.
  • Develop an action plan to transfer learning directly to your own work environment.

* While it is not essential to have four colleagues complete the questionnaires, a more complete Belbin Team Role profile is obtained if this is possible.

The workshop will be run by Sarah Clark, accredited as a Belbin Team Role facilitator. 

Practical details

Price per person CHF 420, which includes an individual Belbin report with observer assessments, workshop files and refreshments.

Registration deadline to be confirmed (to allow sufficient time for completion and processing of the Belbin online self-perception and observer questionnaires).
